Kids with phones are the bane of my existence. Listen here, little buddy blasting Cocomelon in the grocery story from an iPhone, back when we were kids, we had to actually sit in silence for two seconds. Look at the world today, blinded by screens and missing out on the best things in life. Sure it wasn't perfect back then–with Mom gifting McDonald's gift cards for Christmas and Dad chain-smoking in the living room–but at least we spent time together. 

Nowadays, kids don't do anything but look at their screens. 

Gen X knows that childhood is all about building bike ramps, climbing trees, and hiding your newest knee scrapes from your parents. Because although we were feral and set free on the likes of the entire neighborhood, we were undoubtedly free.
